Cairngorm

Terms & conditions

A project shared by a person on the internet, not a hosted product subscription.

Use it, change it, make it your own

This website's original code and documentation are available under the MIT license. You may use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense and sell copies, including for commercial use. Keep the copyright and license notice in copies or substantial portions.

Cairngorm's desktop app is intended for publication under MIT as well. For any app checkout or release, its own included LICENSE file is the authority. These pages do not silently change a separate repository's license.

These terms explain the project; they do not add restrictions to MIT or require you to use the code for a particular purpose.

Third-party material

Dependencies, bundled fonts and provider marks retain their own licenses and notices. The website includes the font license and provider-mark notices. MIT does not grant rights to third-party trademarks or imply endorsement by those projects.

No warranty or promised service

The MIT-licensed software is provided “as is”, without warranty, subject to the disclaimer and liability terms in the license. This is a development project: bugs, changes and incomplete features are possible. No guaranteed support, update schedule, uptime or fitness for your particular task is promised.

Your workspace and external services

Shells and agents can execute commands and modify or delete files. Keep backups, inspect changes and decide which commands and tools you trust. Documentation and recordings are guidance, not a guarantee of results.

Your preferred CLI, model developer, inference host, gateway or local service has its own terms, access requirements and billing. Cairngorm does not transfer subscriptions between services; their charges are not a Cairngorm subscription, and MIT does not grant access to their services.

About the preview

The website shows recorded app interactions with the demo boundaries described in its FAQ. It does not run an agent for visitors. Installers for Windows, macOS and Linux are development builds, not code-signed yet, and come without warranty under the MIT License. See Download & install for the files and their checksums. Recordings may show the current development source rather than the downloadable version. Showing a tool in a recording does not imply an affiliation.
